Both tracks share the same three-level training. All students graduate as Community Herbalists and take a seat on the Apothecary Council. The Advanced Track adds a launched apothecary website built by JC (your choice of a home apothecary site or a business apothecary site) so you leave with the training and a working digital presence together.

JC Jackson is a clinical herbal medicine student at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), where she is training in the science, safety, and clinical application of plant medicine.
She is also an Instructional Technology Specialist who has spent over a decade training teachers and staff inside a large Houston school district, which is adult education work at scale. Medicine Crafts Collective is the school she built to bring that combined expertise, clinical rigor together with real teaching craft, directly to her students.
Every graduate on the Apothecary Council was personally trained by JC and has launched their own apothecary practice.
Ten is not a marketing number. Ten is the maximum I can pour into and still deliver the depth this training requires. I personally mentor every graduate and place them on the Apothecary Council when they complete Level 3. That is why enrollment closes when the tenth seat is claimed, and that is why the next cohort will not open until 2028.
Levels 1 and 2 are offered in two formats. Take them virtually on your own time, or come learn in person with the cohort. Level 3 is in-person only. The Medicine Maker level cannot be earned through a screen.

Start at Level 1 and move at your own pace. Each level builds on the one before. By the time you finish Level 3 your shelves are stocked and you have product on a real table.
Your foundation. Plant identification, working with herbs you can find or grow, and the stories that come with each one. You will make salves, oils, and herbal preparations, build your home apothecary and your first journal, and learn how to use herbs confidently for yourself and your family.
Three sessions that take you deeper into medicine making. Salves with a master batch oil, syrups and honeys, and a Saturday wildcrafting experience with a field instructor. Plant walks in a Texas wild place, ethical harvest, and a hands-on oil infusion that doubles as your graduation. By the end of Level 2 your apothecary shelves are stocked and you have worked the land with your own hands.
The full medicine maker journey. Five sessions covering fire cider, the Fire Cider lawsuit and the history that protects herbalists' right to make and sell, business and product fundamentals, a build day where you make products for both your Home Apothecary Pathway and your Business Pathway, a live vending day at a local farmers market, and your Apothecary Council induction. Includes one-on-one time with me throughout. You walk out a Medicine Maker with product on a real table.

Yes for sequence, no for commitment. The path is sequential: Level 1, then Level 2, then Level 3, with no skipping. But you do not have to enroll in all of them at once. You can enroll in Level 1 now and decide on Level 2 and Level 3 later. Just know that seats and 2026 pricing are honored on a first-come basis. Once the 10 in-person seats fill, remaining students go on the 2028 waitlist.
The payment plan is a Square subscription: $100 every two weeks for 9 payments, then a final $30 payment ($930 total for the Full Cohort Bundle). Your first $100 counts as your non-refundable seat deposit and holds your spot. All payments must complete before Level 1 begins April 6, 2027. Amounts paid beyond the first $100 are non-refundable as cash but transferable as MCC or EBTG credit within 12 months (does not apply to apothecary products).
Your payment plan requires $100 every two weeks, followed by the final payment listed in your enrollment agreement. Each installment has a seven-calendar-day grace period. If it remains unpaid on the eighth day after its due date, a $25 late fee applies. One additional $25 fee applies every seven days while the installment remains unpaid.
Only one $25 late fee is charged to your account in any seven-day period, even if more than one installment is overdue. Late fees are separate from tuition and do not reduce your tuition balance.
If your payment dates do not align with your pay schedule, please contact me to request an adjustment. Any change must be agreed upon in writing. Unless we approve a change, your existing payment schedule remains in effect.
You cannot pause your payments and expect your seat to remain reserved until classes begin. A promise to pay the remaining balance later does not replace the biweekly payment agreement.
If an installment remains unpaid for more than 30 calendar days after its due date, your payment plan may be canceled and your seat released. Before releasing your seat, we will send written notice identifying the overdue amount and the deadline to bring your account current.
Rejoining the cohort after your seat is released depends on availability. Refund and credit eligibility remain subject to your enrollment agreement.
Virtual classes are self-paced. You watch the lessons, do the work in your own kitchen, and submit your assignments on your own time. In-person classes meet at our Houston classroom, with hands-on building, group work, and field experiences. Level 3 is in-person only because the medicine making, the live market vending day, and the Apothecary Council induction cannot be done through a screen.
No. If you have already completed a level with us, you do not need to re-enroll in it. The 2027 cohort is the next round for students moving up to their next level, plus new students entering at Level 1.
Ten total in-person seats for the 2027 cohort. Once all ten fill, enrollment closes and the Cohort 2028 waitlist opens. Waitlisted students receive the first notice when Cohort 2028 enrollment opens, before the public announcement goes out. If a seat opens in Cohort 2027 because a payment plan is voided, the top of the waitlist is offered that seat first at the current 2027 price. Virtual classes are not seat-limited.
Yes. Pay each level when you are ready to start it. The bundle prices only apply if you pay for everything up front.
Virtual options for Levels 1 and 2 work from anywhere. For Level 3 you would need to travel to Houston, since that level is in-person only.
Level 1 In-Person begins Tuesday, April 6, 2027. Level 3 In-Person begins Tuesday, June 1, 2027. Level 2 In-Person dates are announced once Level 1 closes. Virtual levels are self-paced and start whenever you do.
A Word Before You Go
P.S. Your ancestors knew this medicine. Before it was called herbalism, the elders in your bloodline (grandmothers and grandfathers, aunts and uncles, community healers) used these plants to keep their families whole. You are not learning something new. You are remembering what you have always been called to carry.
Cohort 2027 closes when the 10th seat is claimed. Tuition for Cohort 2028 will be higher. Waitlist members are notified first when enrollment opens and receive a founding-price hold for a limited window.
